Walk this Way will be set up in Canal Park (in the 4300 block of Main St.) – we’ll be available to take your pooch for a walk along the Towpath if you need to pop into a shop that doesn’t allow dogs (donations to PAWS will be gladly accepted)

Manayunk’s Second Saturday teams up with the Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) on May 10, 2008 with events to raise funds and awareness for some of Philadelphia’s unwanted or abandoned animals. Second Saturday is a monthly, outdoor event celebrated along Main Street in Manayunk. Kid friendly activities and live musicians attract families for a day of fun. The festive atmosphere with the backdrop of the waterfront and ability to stroll the canal makes Manayunk a unique destination to spend the Second Saturday of every month. In addition, Manayunk supports a different charitable non-profit organization each month.

PAWS will host an event area on the corner of Main and Levering Streets on May 10 starting at 12:00PM. Activities include a charity doggie wash sponsored by Canine Clippers, raffles, and an animal-oriented information fair. Don’t have a pet? PAWS can make sure you go home with one!
